I have a proposal for simplifying the OPE task. Either choose
Marx's _first_ outline or his _last_ one as a working outline
rather than deal with all of the intermediate states (parts of
Paul's "path dependence"). The first one might be overly
inclusive while the last one overly limited, but the issue of
Marx's outline is supposed to be only a _first_ step in our
discussion. That Marx may have left something out is just as
important to our task as that he included it.

The point is to choose -- so we can move on -- and it should be done
