Paul,

I do not know much about this. But I came across some material in Rosa Luxemburg's papers on cartels and some discussion in Antonio Gramsci's prison note books. John Hobson's imperialism book might be another good source for statistics.

Thema: [OPE-L] concentration of capital

Does anyone know of any data on trends since about 1900 in
concentration and centralization of capital in the US or other major
capitalist countries? I've been looking around pretty persistently
for US data, and I have come up empty handed so far. There's some
data on the post-WW2 period, but further back it seems to be
unavailable...
