*The mask of evil*

On my wall hangs a Japanese carving,
The mask of an evil demon, decorated with gold
Sympathetically I observe
The swollen veins of the forehead, indicating
What a strain it is to be evil.

-- Bertold Brecht

What is the face that lies hidden behind the character mask?

Can one not change one's mask? Can one not wear more than one mask?

If capitalists wear a character mask, doesn't the symmetry of the
presentation also require wage-earners to wear a character mask? What are
the masks worn by the working class?
