I rely on the LTV, but Marx never wrote of a LTV in particular. Marx
stressed social relations, especially class struggle. LTV is a
brilliant way of going beyond Utopian Socialists idea of showing that
working people were producing more than they needed for their own lives.
  "If everybody worked X hours a day, there would be enough for everybody."

To emphasize the Marx = LTV seems to restrict the scope & importance of
his work. In short, LTV is important, but it is a subset of the totality.
