I'm sure that Marxian scholars interested in a non-mystical, scientific
approach to value theory would be interested in Jens H°yrup's website
articles on the history of mathematics:
http://akira.ruc.dk/~jensh/

H°yrup does a great job of analyzing the evolution of abstract quantitative
and qualitative evaluations in the history of human thought, enabling us to
understand with much greater accuracy what is specific to modern times, and
what modern times had in common with ancient times.
