Paul Z, among others Stalin was very popular in the anti-colonialist movement thorughout the world.
Even Eric Hobsbawm admits this in his book on nation and nationalism.

Paul C.?

Can you tell me what popular movement Stalin led in the U.K.? I don't
recollect that he ever set foot in the U.K.?

I offer my conception of Stalin "trying to control a popular movement". He
was not a failure in this respect. "Movement" does not refer to an opinion

Paul Z.?
