 Hi Jerry,

many thanks for this. I think that was the letter I was looking for.
I am working on a paper about Hegel and his relationship to the Enlightenment.
And Hegel says something similar in October 1808. I just wanted
to relate these to one anther. So I may say thank you in the paper.

Best wishes,

I am looking for Engels' letter to Marx where he says someting like this: in the next future
there is no revolutionary uprising in Europe to expect. Therefore, we should concentrate
on theoretical work.

Hi Dogan:

Marx himself made a similar point in an February 29, 1860 letter to Ferdinand

".... since 1852 I had not been associated with *any* association and

was firmly convinced that my theoretical studies were of greater use

to the working class than my meddling with associations which had their

day on the Continent".

In solidarity, Jerry
